Lorraine Arabang Sebopelo


Lorraine Arabang Sebopelo is a medical student at the University of Botswana who is an aspiring physician-scientist with a special interest in neurosurgery. Her vision is for Africa to overcome the unmet need for neurosurgeons driven first by nurturing neurosurgery interest among medical students.

Currently, Lorraine is the Vice-President (External Affairs) for the Association of Future African Neurosurgeons (AFAN) as well as a Research Fellow. Her interests include Neurosurgery, Global health, Global surgery, Global Neurosurgery, and Clinical research. She is also the Student Editor & Ambassador for the International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS) of Botswana, a member of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) - Global Neurosurgery Committee, Reviewer & Associate Editor for Pan African Medical Journal (PAMJ), and member of Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO).
